"Indian Summer Flowers" picked to celebrate completion of the family grape harvest in Calaveras County, California.
Loose molten brushstrokes capture the freedom of the moment. The vibrant colors are playful. The deep, cool blues make the other brush strokes float, as if suspended in space...
I paint passionately without thinking in total freedom of expression. I let the hot torch flame soar from high above the strong brushstrokes and pureness of color, and a milky texture and softness appears. No two moments are ever the same when painting with wax...
Depiction of a stellar explosion bursting with heat, dazzling light, shapes, and a myriad of colors during creation of new stars. I am amazed and captivated by the constant activities of cosmic evolution occurring throughout universes.
Japanese Art influenced the low diagonal lines and off center subject in this still life painting of a vase and flowers. My husband purchased the French Silks for me during a period when he was traveling and working out of town, and wasn't able to buy fresh roses for me as often as he wanted. One of my favorite combinations to enjoy with croissants.
Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in morning, sailor's warning
This is an ancient mariner's rhyme. The scene is a red sky over the reflective sea. You pick the time of day... The ancient "red sky" weather concept is also found at Matthew 16:2b-3 of the New Testament.
Some of my favorite flowers for bouquets.
Graceful koi are seemingly unaffected by the motion and direction of the flowing water.
